Perhaps quite a necessary one.<br /><br />Each president, in my view, has a responsibility to lead according to the degree of wisdom they have been given. Some choose to, at times, instead to bow to political and self-aggrandizing pressures, usually only for short term gain. But then again, we all do that. That&#39;s why sin is such a powerful force - we favor the short term glory and refuse to acknowledge the long term pain to us an others.<br /><br />Regardless, my displeasure with this particular award came down to timing and, dare I say, wisdom. For while the hope of being able to deliver peace is not to be dismissed, I had always thought this type of honor should be bestowed based on measurable results, not just platitudes.<br /><br />But I also believe in performance-based incentives for corporate executives.
